Murray beaten by Robredo.
Third seed Tommy Robredo made short work of Britain's new number one, Andy Murray, and now faces the USA's Mardy Fish in the second round of the Las Vegas ATP Open, which is worth $380,000 to the winner. Robredo, who is from Hostalric (Gerona), swept aside the challenge of the 18 year old Scot, who confounded everyone by beating Lleyton Hewitt two weeks ago in San Jose. Murray admitted that the blustery conditions had hampered him throughout, "I could have played much better but I could have done with slightly calmer conditions after just coming from playing indoors for four weeks." The Spaniard has played Fish, who beat India's Prakash Amritaj 6-4, 7-6, twice before, losing on both occasions.
