2010 European Athletics Championships to be held in Barcelona
The European Athletics Association announced several cities that will host championships for the following years during it’s Council Meeting in Gothenburg, Sweden. Along with Turin (where 2009 European Athletics Indoor Championships will be held) and Munich (a host for the 2007 SPAR European Cup) there is also Barcelona, which will host 2010 European Athletics Championships. The place where the event is to be held is Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium with a capacity of 45,000 people, which will specially be modernized for this day. The competition will be scheduled for either the end of July or beginning of August.
