Commenting in the plans for Spain, Mr. Loveman stated: "There are millions of people in this region of Spain with an interest in gambling, and we are confident people will get in the car, on the train and on the plane to come and see us. We expect the Caesars Palace idea will be very successful in Spain." Harrah's, the company that owns Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, has announced that it is intending to open a glitzy gambling casino, leisure complex and residential area on a site 7km outside the town of Ciudad Real, about 118 miles south of Madrid. In a considerable expansion plan that was revealed by Gary Loveman the group is to invest at least $668 million in a string of new casinos in Singapore, the Bahamas and Slovenia.
