More traffic is expected this week-end
There have recently been some news announced about the situation in Barcelona for the first week of December, and especially the December break (from 6th till 10th) that is called the "Pont de la Constitució". For instance, according to the Catalan Traffic Service (SCT), there will be as many as 450,000 vehicles heading to the city’s suburbs and the Pyrenees from the metropolitan area, that is why there will be over 2,400 police officers patrolling the area so that there would not be any accidents. Also, the shopping centers will have more traffic than on usual days. The good news is that, according to the forecast, it will probably start snowing this week. Thanks to this several ski stations are going to open, if the forecast turns out to be true. They are Vaquèira-Beret (Vall d'Aran), Boí-Taüll (Alta Ribagorça), Portainé (Pallars Sobirà) and others. And, finally, shopping malls will offers Christmas shopping to the consumers on the 6th and the 8th of December.
