Strauss concerts at Barcelona halls
For many European cities, New Year and Christmas are not only associated with carols, but also with the Strauss waltz, performed at many of concert halls. Barcelona decided not to be the exception and, therefore, lots of venues offer you to visit their concerts and listen to charming Strauss melodies. One of the most classic performances is the Waltz and Dance Festival by the Vallès Symphonic Orchestra at the Palau de la Música Catalana – the programme that they perform can also be heard around other Catalan cities and, besides the music of the Strauss family, will also include Dvorák's Slavic dances, Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin polonesa, L'Empordà and other pieces. Among the other concert venues are El Palau de la Música Catalana, the Barcelona Auditorium and the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
