The Year of Science in Barcelona
This year is marked as “The Year of Science” in Barcelona, and in order to help people feel that “science” atmosphere, there is a special "Colours and Science" programme organized in the city. The programme involves many Barcelona museums and science centers where lots of exhibitions and lectures are held. But one of the most interesting facts is that there is special ticket sold that gives you an opportunity to visit all these places, including The Barcelona Natural Science Museum, the Botanical Garden, CosmoCaixa, the Maritime Museum, the Zoo, the Barcelona Zoological Park, the Agbar Museum and the Museum of Science and Technique. The ticket cost is 18.5 euros and its aims are to encourage people visit more museums and create contacts and links between these places. Also, numerous activities are planned to be held each month, such as talks, debates, various meetings as well as science cafes in libraries. And, finally, there will be an exhibition entitled "Get to know Science" organized at the Palau Robert.
