An exhibition on Earth and Mars at CosmoCaixa
It is next to impossible to imagine two planets – Mars and Earth, resembling each other. However, an exhibition at the CosmoCaixa will give you lots of examples of such resemblance, the main point is, of course, the theory that there is life on Mars, based on the research that proved there is water on this planet. Lots of people have also heard that the planet’s relief tells us a story of former river beds and streams that were situated here millions of years ago. All these might mean that there are some kinds of life forms on Mars, even if they are very tiny, like bacteria. Another interesting fact is that these two planets have almost the same length of the day, and both of them have an atmosphere (even though the major difference is the chemical structure of these atmospheres is very different). All these theories are confirmed by numerous photographs, with an opportunity for visitors to guess which planet is being shown – a task that is not so very simple! The exhibition is very educational and useful to visit.
