“Una copia” play
During the last years, cloning and its consequences has been a topic widely discussed, not only from the point of science, but also from the point of morality. Now the director Jordi Prat presents his new story based on this issue. Staged by the Caryl Churchill’s plot, the play “A Number” (Una còpia) brings us to the imaginary world, where cloning is something accepted. We see the life of a man, and his two sons, one of whom is the clone of another. However, the truth is only revealed when the brothers are thirty years old. This is a breathtaking psychological thriller with the focus on the problems of science as well as relations between parents and their children. The parts are played by David Selvas and Andreu Benito. Una còpia is available at Teatre Lliure till March, 4th.
