Lee Miller: Picasso in Private
An exhibition at Museu Picasso is dedicated to two important figures in the world of arts: Pablo Picasso and Lee Miller. As you known, the first one was a painter while Lee Miller was an American photographer and a friend of Picasso. The exhibition “Lee Miller: Picasso in Private” is connected with the photographer’s 100 anniversary and focused on her relationship, both professional and friendly, with the artist. Those relations lasted for about 36 years, during which Miller took more than a thousand photographs of Pablo Picasso, showing him together with his family and in his artistic surroundings. Among the exhibition’s exclusives are Miller’s five portraits in a harlequin dressing, which the artist made for her. Another section is dedicated to Roland Penrose, Miller’s husband and his close relations with Catalonia.
