Changes in work of Barcelona transport
This summer visitors to Barcelona will face some changes in the work of it’s transport system. First, Mercat Nou Station will be closed till autumn 2008 as there will be reconstruction works carried out there. Thanks to the reconstruction there will a new covered station appear in Barcelona, with a central platform 7.4 metres wide, allowing more passengers to use the station. There were also cuts in the night-time service between Santa Eulàlia and Plaça de Sants stations planned recently. But these plans have been postponed because of a delay by subcontractors in installing a new interlocking system at Santa Eulàlia.
